Cloud7 facilitate an extended user management hierarchy by providing the option to create different users types under its identity structure. It lets you manage separate entities (called organizations in C7) for a Cloud administrator, the resellers of the Cloud services and the end-consumer of the Cloud, i.e. Cloud-Admin, Resellers and Customers respectively.
With Staff Members feature in C7, each entity can create multiple user accounts based on their organizational requirements and assign different privileges to them using built-in Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) features. This allows multiple user account accessing and managing the same organization in Cloud7.
Cloud7 User Management is tightly linked with the Audit Logs module in C7, wherein any actions performed by the users of an organization are logged with time & date stamp as well as the action result.

Cloud-Admin #
Cloud Admin portal is designed for the Cloud administrators to perform different configurations, including defining the Cloud service catalogue, billing & invoicing configurations, email delivery system configuration, customer signup and onboarding journey settings etc.
The Cloud-Admin is the root-user of Cloud7 and has the complete privileges to perform customer creation and termination actions. It can view the resources of all the resellers and customers in C7 as well as have the detailed reporting functionality to view the total allocation and consumption of resources on the Cloud.
The Cloud-Admin can create multiple Staff-Member accounts for its own organization with different privileges assigned to limit their access to perform administrative actions or reconfiguration of services in the platform.
Reseller #
The Reseller type of account is meant for the Cloud Service Provider’s channel partners who are interested in reselling the Cloud services to their own end-clients. A Reseller can create sub-resellers or customer directly under its account and these accounts will appear as indirect resellers and customers for the Cloud-Admin.
Cloud7 lets Cloud-Admin assign and allocate Cloud resources to the Resellers through Resource Plans, and then the Reseller can top these resources up with the required price margins to resell these resources to the customers created under its account.
Cloud7 provides resellers with a flexible and powerful platform to manage and distribute cloud resources to their end-customers. Below are the key features available to resellers:
Resource Management #
Cloud7 offers robust and versatile resource management features that empower resellers to efficiently allocate and customize cloud resources for their end-customers. These capabilities ensure that resellers can optimize their service offerings, improve customer satisfaction, and maximize their revenue. Below are the key resource management features provided by Cloud7:
- Flexible Resource Allocation: Resellers can allocate resources from their assigned pool to their end-customers with precision. This allows for tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of each customer.
- Scalable Solutions: Resources can be scaled up or down based on the demand, ensuring that customers always have access to the appropriate level of service.
- Custom Resource Plans: Resellers have the ability to split larger resource allocations from the Cloud-Admin into multiple smaller resource plans. This feature is particularly useful for creating customized packages that cater to the varying requirements of different customers.
- Granular Control: By splitting resources, resellers can offer more granular and specific plans, allowing them to target niche markets and provide solutions that closely match customer needs.

Pricing Flexibility #
Resellers have the ability to adjust resource plans allocated from Cloud-Admin based on their business needs or pass on the exact plans, including pricing and resource allocations, without any modifications.
- Dynamic Pricing: Resellers can set dynamic pricing by adding their own margins to the Cloud-Admin’s list price. This flexibility in pricing strategy helps resellers maintain competitive while ensuring profitability.
- Margin Adjustments: Adjusting margins over the Cloud-Admin’s base price allows resellers to create value-added services and enhance their market offering.
Customer Management #
Cloud7 offers comprehensive customer management features that enable resellers to bring their own customers into the platform and manage them effectively. These capabilities are designed to provide resellers with the tools they need to build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensure customer satisfaction, and streamline administrative tasks.
- Customer Onboarding: Resellers can easily onboard their own customers to the Cloud7 platform. This process is straightforward, allowing resellers to quickly set up new accounts and start providing services without delay.
- Customizable Profiles: Each customer account can be customized with specific details, preferences, and settings, ensuring a personalized experience for every end-customer.
- Centralized Dashboard: Resellers have access to a centralized dashboard where they can view and manage all their customer accounts. This dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of customer status, resource usage, and billing information.
White-Labelled Services #
Cloud7 provides powerful white-labelling capabilities that allow resellers to offer cloud resources under their own brand. This feature enables resellers to maintain brand consistency, enhance their market presence, and build stronger customer loyalty. Below are the key white-labelling features available in Cloud7.
Resellers can customize the Cloud7 platform to reflect their own brand identity. This includes the ability to upload logos, set brand colors, and use custom domain names, ensuring that the platform appears as an extension of the reseller’s own business.
Departmental Structure Support #
The reseller module in Cloud7 not only supports reseller management but also facilitates the establishment of organizational and departmental structures. Within this module, you have the capability to assign a Resource Plan to a reseller entity. This Resource Plan serves as a predefined allocation of resources such as compute, storage, and network capabilities.
Once a Resource Plan is assigned, the reseller can leverage Cloud7’s customers module to create and manage multiple departments and sub-departments within their organization. These departments can be structured hierarchically, allowing for a clear delineation of responsibilities and resource needs across different levels of the organization.
Each department and sub-department created under the reseller’s account can then be allocated a portion of the Resource Plan. This allocation ensures that resources are distributed effectively based on the specific requirements and usage patterns of each organizational unit. It also enables the reseller to optimize resource utilization and manage costs more efficiently.
This hierarchical approach not only supports reseller operations but also caters to complex organizational needs, providing flexibility in resource allocation and management within larger enterprises. It enhances operational efficiency by allowing departments to operate semi-autonomously while maintaining oversight and control through centralized management within Cloud7.

Customer #
The Customer account in Cloud7 provides users with a comprehensive self-service portal, offering a range of features that allow for efficient management of their cloud resources and billing. Key functionalities include:
- Self Service Portal: Customers can independently provision cloud resources as needed and deprovision resources that are no longer needed, allowing them to quickly scale their services up or down based on their requirements. This capability let customers optimize their resource usage and costs.
- Invoice Management: Customers can view and manage their invoices directly from the portal. This includes accessing detailed billing statements and transaction history.
